One Church, One Mission, One World
Join the Southern Conference United Church of Christ for a powerful and transformative gathering centered on the theme “Beyond Borders: One Church, One Mission, One World.” Grounded in the Great Commission from Matthew 28:19–20, this year’s Annual Meeting invites clergy and laity alike to embrace a broader vision of ministry—one that extends beyond geography, comfort zones, and familiar spaces. With the guiding truth that “Call to Care is not limited to where we can drive,” we are challenged to live out our faith with a global heart and a boundless spirit.
Over three days, participants will engage in meaningful worship, dynamic workshops, and critical conversations that speak to the needs of today’s church and world. The gathering begins with racial equity training and culminates in a spirit-filled Closing Worship and Installation Service, bookended by moments of connection, learning, and celebration.
Attendees will explore timely topics such as global justice, immigration, church vitality, financial stewardship, conflict transformation, and innovative ministry practices—including the role of AI in communication. Through interactive workshops and general sessions, participants will gain practical tools and fresh perspectives to strengthen their local ministries while staying connected to the wider church.
A highlight of the meeting is the vibrant evening celebration, “A Trip Around the World,” where attendees are invited to experience global cultures through food, attire, and fellowship, while also honoring Juneteenth in a joyful and reflective way. Another highlight will be the installation of the Southern Conference three Associate Conference Ministers that will be held at the closing worship on June 20th at 11:15 am followed by a meet and greet reception. All are welcome to attend this event without paying registration.
